Lufthansa Technik Turbine Shannon (LTTS) is an Engine Parts and Accessories Repair (EPAR) shop specialising on high and low-pressure turbine parts repaired in our main location in Shannon.  

Our core competency is the repair of nozzles, shrouds, and shroud hangers where we have more than 20 years’ experience. These parts mainly come from CFM56 engine types, which flies, on the Airbus A320 and Boeing B737 aircraft types.  In addition to our core competencies, we have increased our capability on other products, notably CFM56 and V2500 engine manifolds. We support these repairs in an second recently commissioned facility in Shannon.  

In addition to the repair of engine parts we design and develop new repairs together with the engine manufacturers like GE/CFMI or Rolls-Royce for both our current and future products e.g. CFMI LEAP or Rolls-Royce XWB, we also support additional services to enhance our customer experience like sale and exchange parts from our capability portfolio.

Low Pressure Turbine Nozzles

The repair capability within our LPT vane product technology centre continues to expand with the addition of new products and innovative repairs. As we offer capability for CFM56-5A/5B/7B LPT vanes with reduced turn-around times through the implementation of continuous improvements in our production processes. 

High Pressure Turbine Shrouds 

We offer HPT shroud repairs across an extensive range of engine types for CFM56-5A/5B/7B. You can rely on OEM approved TDCs (Thermally Densified Coatings) which we use in our repairs and benefit from savings achieved through the development of specialist's repairs. 

High Pressure Turbine Shroud Hangers  

We have full capability (OEM approved) to repair high pressure turbine (HPT) shroud hanger and all associated service bulletins for the CFM56-5B/5C/7B engines. The repair process of the HPT shroud hanger involves a wide array of specialized skills and advanced technologies such as, CNC milling, TIG and SWET welding. 

Engine manifolds

We have full capability (cleaning / inspection and overhaul) to repair low pressure turbine (LPT) cooling manifolds for the CFM56-5B/-7B engines. As well as repair capabilities for external tubes for the CFM56-5B/5C/7B engines. LTTS has achieved excellent repair yield rates for external tubes.     

Low Pressure Turbine Outer Stationary Air Seal Segment 

We have the full capability to repair low pressure turbine (LPT) outer stationary air seal segment (also known as LPT shroud) and all associated service bulletins for the CFM56-5B/7B/7BE engines. Within this capability, LTTS has received external OEM approval for repair 006, application of the S.V.P.A protection on the honeycomb liner on the stage 1 seal segment.  

Materials replacement service

We provide additional services whereby our EPAR customers can avail of added support when carrying out engine builds. We offer scrap replacement services, slots and set management, enabling our customers to optimize their capabilities while ensuring their capacity is maintained.   

CFM LEAP program

In addition to repairing engine parts, we design and develop new repair methods in collaboration with engine manufacturers like GE/CFMI. This ensures that we remain at the forefront of innovation for both our current and future products.

TSP Dublin

Technical Service Provider (TSP) provides a dedicated service tailored to engine lessors. As trusted technical advisors during lease engine transitions, we help to ensure an efficient engine handover from operator to lessor. We have full capability to cover a wide range of legacy and new commercial engine types including GE90, GENx, Trent, CF6-80, CFM56, LEAP, V2500, CF34, PW1X00. 

MES Dublin

Our mobile engine service just outside Dublin is part of Lufthansa Technik's global MES network, offering a range of services including both on site and on wing repairs. The engine shop aims to keep your engines flying around the globe with minimal downtime and sustainably reduce your total MRO costs. Our capabilities consist of CFM56-5A/5B/5C/7B engines and we are eager to roll out LEAP-1A from later 2025.
